Managing Director

Mr. Daniel James Kunz, has more than 35 years of natural resource development experience in mineral exploration, development and operations.

Mr. Kunz co-founded MK Gold Company in 1988 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Morrison Knudsen Corp (now URS corporation (URS: NYSE). In 1993, he led the IPO of MK Gold Company on the NASDAQ, a company with worldwide gold mining operations producing some 200,000 ounces of gold per annum. From 1993 to 1997 he held the positions of President, CEO and Director

From 1997 to 2004 Mr. Kunz was COO, CEO and ultimately President of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (now Turquoise Hills Resources Ltd. (TRQ: NYSE) where he led Ivanhoe into Mongolia and in 2001 was part of the team that discovered Oyu Tolgoi. During this period he also joined the board of Francisco Gold Corporation, which in 1999 discovered the El Sauzal gold project in Mexico. He was also the founding director of Chesapeake Gold Corporation, an exploration and development company with the advanced-stage 18.5 million ounce Metates gold project and of Gunpoint Exploration Ltd (GUN:TSX.V)

He stepped back from Ivanhoe in 2004 to found U.S. Geothermal Inc. (HTM: NYSE), a geothermal electrical producer.

Mr. Kunz has also served on various industry boards including the U.S.-Mongolia Business Council and the U.S.-Kyrgyz Business Council.

Mr. Kunz holds a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science, and an associate accounting degree. He is currently a member of the advisory board for the Engineering Department at the University of Montana Tech and in 1995 was named as a Distinguished Alumni of the University on Montana Tech.

Vice President

Mr. Ballon has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry covering exploration, development, operations and the sale and acquisition of mine assets and companies. From 1987 to 1993, he was responsible for the management of the Santander Mine in Peru which had resources of 500 million pounds of zinc 180 million pounds of lead and 8.7 million ounces of silver and returned in 2008 to sell the asset to Trevali Mining Corporation (TSX:TV). He was Vice President of Corriente Resources Inc. (TSX:CTQ) responsible for their South America operations and which in 1995 acquired the Taca Taca mining project in Argentina. From 1998 to 2003 Mr. Ballon was the Director of Thiess South America (ASX:LEI) holding responsibility for mining operations at Tintaya and Yanacocha mines in Peru. In 2002, he assumed the role of Manager of Cardero Resource Corporation's South American operations (TSX:CDU) and in 2004 negotiated the acquisition of the Pampa de Pongo mining project in Peru from the Rio Tinto Group (LSE:RIO) subsequently selling the project to the Nanjinzhao Group of China in 2010. He is currently a director of Xiana Mining Inc. (TSX-V: XIA).

Mr. Ballon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Colorado, USA.

Finance Director

Mr. Lim has over 16 years experience in financial management, corporate finance and investment banking.

Mr. Lim was also previously a director of ClearPoint Partners, a boutique strategic advisory firm where he worked on various fund raising and advisory projects providing strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions and fund raising/financing options to corporate clients. Prior to that he was the finance director of Asia Bioenergy Technologies Berhad, a company listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia, primarily involved in the investments and incubation of businesses in the biofuel and biotechnology industries. As an executive director of the company, he was involved in the investment evaluations and growth of its investee companies as well as the oversight of the finance operations. He has worked with CIMB Investment Bank, one of the leading investment banks in South East Asia in the corporate finance division and has advised on IPOs, fund raisings, debt restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Lim is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Malaysia, Ernst & Young in United Kingdom and KPMG in Fiji Islands in various areas of accounting, finance and consultancy.

Corporate Strategy & Investor Relations Director

Mr. Vaz has over 17 years of experience in investment banking and strategic business management. He has served with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Kuala Lumpur, Dublin, London and New York where he has helmed several roles in the area of financial audits, structuring of asset backed securities, advising on cross border taxation matters, opining on market derivatives and their structural implications, merger and acquisition advisory, IPO reporting and financial due diligences. Mr. Vaz was an investment banker for Capital Partners Group Limited (2003 to 2006) and ZAI Corporate Finance Limited (2006 to 2012) where he was responsible for deal origination and execution with particular focus on the natural resources sector. He has worked on various IPO's and private equity exercises in London, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Indonesia, the Middle East and China and helped to raise in excess of US$2bn of private equity and IPO money for budding Asian companies. He is founder and President of the Malaysian Mining Club.

Mr. Vaz holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting from the Queens University of Belfast, UK.

Commercial & Business Development Director

Mr. Ticcioni has over 29 years of continuous experience in the construction and mining industries spanning United Kingdom, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America. His career is founded on executive level major project and business level delivery for Carillion PLC (LSE:CLLN) (1985 to 1997) and Leighton Holdings Ltd (ASX:LEI) (1997 to 2011) in the fields of Commercial, Risk and Operational Management. Previously responsible for all aspects of Leighton's commercial and risk performance across an international footprint and laterally with direct responsibility for their operations in the Middle East and Singapore. Mr. Ticcioni most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for SHC Group overseeing mining development operations in Africa, Central Asia and South America (2011 to 2014).


Mr. Glen Peter Parsley possesses 29 years of mining exploration and operations experience encompassing all facets of economic geology, exploration geology and mining operational project management. Mr. Parsley has global experience in mineral property acquisitions and has been responsible for a number of major mineral discoveries in North and South America, which have been taken into production. He has also has led the due diligence of exploration and operational mining assets in North America, Asia and Africa. During his career he has worked as an exploration and mining geologist for Newmont Mining (1985:1986), Tenneco Minerals (1989:1993), USMX Inc. (1993:1998), Dewey Mining Company (1998:2003), Triumph Gold Corp. (2003:2007), and Thunder Mountain Gold (2007:2013).

Mr. Parsley is a registered professional geologist and holds both a Bachelor (1984) and Masters (1987) degree in Geology from the University of Idaho.

Chemical and Metallurgical Engineer

Mr. Robert Bruce Thorndycraft is a qualified Chemical and Metallurgical Engineer of some 40 years industry experience primarily spent in the Americas. He possesses specific expertise in the analysis, identification and development of processing and production engineering solutions for precious and industrial metals and whilst with Gold Production Development Associates (1987-1991 and 2001-2003) undertook the primary Metallurgical and Process Engineering role on a number of notable projects throughout North and South American, Asia and Asia-Pacific. Mr. Thorndycraft's operational experience is expansive. He has held the executive positions of Chief Operations Officer for MWM Mining Corporation's (US:NWMMF) Mina Lluvia de Oro Gold Mine in Mexico (2009-2011) and Vice President Operations for Atlanta Gold Inc. (2004-2007) and his field experience includes Mill Superintendent and Mine Manager for Kaiser Celestite, Canada, (1974:1976) Mill and Heap Leach Superintendent for Pinson Gold, (United States,1980:1986) and Construction Manager for Gold Production Management Limited, (United States and Mexico, 1992:1995).

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota (1968) and a Master's in Mineral Processing from the University of Washington (1974).

Due Diligence & Operations

Dr. Edward Max Baker has held the position of CEO of Gunpoint Exploration Limited (formerly Christopher James Gold Corp) since 2005 and in that period has developed a number of grass-roots exploration projects, to four advanced exploration projects, including the 1+ million ounce Talapoosa gold-silver project, in Nevada. From 2002 to 2004 he was Vice President of Exploration for Oriel Resources where he was responsible for the acquisition and development of Oriel's portfolio of mine exploration assets in Central and Eastern Europe. Dr. Baker has extensive exploration and operational experience and has also worked throughout Australasia, China, Eastern and Western Europe and North and South America advancing a number of mining projects including, Pueblo Viejo Deposit for Mount Isa Mines and Telfer, Boddington and Jubilee mines for Newcrest Mining Ltd.

Dr. Baker holds a PHD from James Cook University, Australia.
